  • Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA): If you're changing employers or continuing with same employer, a new positive or neutral LMIA from Employment and Social Development Canada is required. ​

  • Proof of Current Employment: Recent pay stubs or a letter from your employer confirming your employment status.​

  • Income Tax Documents: Copies of your recent income tax filings in Canada.

  • Proof of Fee Payment: Receipts showing payment of the work permit renewal fee and, if applicable, the open work permit holder fee.​

  • Restoration of Status: If your work permit has expired and you did not apply for renewal in time, you may apply to restore your status within 90 days of the expiry date. This requires paying additional fees and there is no guarantee of approval. ​
